As I began to write this, I put a prompt into ChatGPT to create a biography about myself. Despite how fast and well written it was, I realised that in a world of AI slop, it's better to be human slop. So, here I go.

I'm a product designer who enjoys jumping into a problem and figuring out how I can solve it. I believe good design must work as well as it should look. I pride myself on the craft of design. What does it indicate if a button is placed here or there? What does this section signal to a user? Is this really what they care about? Why does a light border around a container just feel right?

I'm eager to learn and continually develop as a designer and a person. Part of that comes with exposure to the ambiguous; I actively seek it. If I don't have an answer, I will go and find it. I enjoy being on a team where collaboration isn't just encouraged but a part of how it functions. Collaboration brings out the best version of myself which (unfortunately for some) includes a variety of overused dad jokes.

My experience covers a wide range of projects and clients, from global tech and healthcare companies to startups working alongside CEOs and engineering. I'm adaptable to any task or space including product and web to vision and roadmapping.

Outside of work I am a big sports person. From playing Gaelic football, soccer and golf (fixing my slice) to cycling along the Dublin coastline, I love getting outdoors and trying new activities. I also [insert line about a flat white].
